February 2026: Volunteers continue to clear trees and clean-up brush along the south end of the park near Borchers Beach Road. 5 box elder trees were taken down and burned along with brush and other woody materials. While there is still a little snow and frost in the ground, it’s an ideal time to safely burn the wooded debris…and after the work was completed, a few hot dogs were roasted. Thanks to the volunteers who are helping clean up the park and make it look good!
