Renovations Begin on the Hogan House

In June 2025, after nearly a year of designing, fundraising, planning and organizing, the First Phase of the Hogan House renovation has begun!

The First Phase of the Hogan House renovation has $40,000 of funding through generous support and donations of $20,000 plus a matching $20,000 Knowles-Nelson Stewardship grant.

In mid-June, work was completed to make the Hogan’s stone fireplace functional and up to code!  A new fireplace insert was donated from Hansen & Sons Chimney and Fireplace (a big thank you for that geneous donation!). Hansen and Sons installed the insert and completed necessary chimney and masonry work to ensure the fireplace is not only functional but safe for use.

Other plans for the First Phase of renovation include:

  • Electrical and lighting updates
  • Repairing and refinishing of interior walls and floor
  • Roofing and siding repairs as needed

Future phases will include new windows and doors, ADA accessible entryway and outdoor paths, historical displays, program planning and more.

Watch for info about an Open House in September 2025 where we can gather to see progress, enjoy a warm fire and plan for the future.

Thank you to the generous donors and for your support in helping us renovate this historic building!
